Dear friend

In July of 2020, weary from the pandemic and needing something positive to focus on, my friend Donna and I began a year long photo project; a pen pal project of sorts. It began with a photo of hers, to which I responded with a photo. Then she responded to mine, with a photo. And so we went. We wrapped it up this past July with 42 beautiful images, each one a visual response to the image before it.

The project was initially previewed here under the working title “From There to Here.” While it was fun to see how we got from there (the first photo) to here (the last), in the end the project was really about friendship. Speaking only a little about each image as we sent them back and forth, it was our real life conversations about life and art that informed their making along the way.

Now for the first time the project is available for purchase as a set of 4x6 postcards. Each set comes with all 42 images, hand numbered, plus one additional image with a handwritten note, all gorgeously printed on heavy 17pt card stock with a matte finish, and packaged in a hand made craft box. They would be a beautiful addition to any photography collection, or make a thoughtful gift for your own dear friends.
